Today was rather a quick day. We had to go out and pick up some mouse and ant traps ( I know gross, but hopefully the problems will be taken care of quickly). Our littlest one got his haircut while we were out, and it makes him look a whole lot older. Sometimes I wish they would just slow down on the growing spurts, I can't seem to keep up with it all.
After the boy's naptime we had to dash to their very first dentist appointment and it immediately didn't start great and just kept getting crazier. We arrived and forgot the insurance cards, so hubby stays with the boys while I race back to the house to pick them up (we only had 10 minutes until their appointments and mine too by the way!) As soon as I get back to the dentist office I have three packets of papers to fill out. I rush through the paper work and turn it in then our littlest one decides to go on running spurts down the hall. I had to keep him quiet (from crying too loudly) and occupied until they called our names. Well mine was called first, leaving the hubby with the two rowdy boys by himself. And I have to give him props, because as I was laying in the chair getting my teeth cleaned I was listening to him and the boys. So proud of him! I think he knows he can handle them by himself, but would just rather let me do it and him help if needed. :) Got to love him! Both the boys did great in the end! They are great brushers, and no cavities for mom.
So we leave the dentist office and head back home, not even 5 seconds later we almost got hit by a car. This lady was definitely in a hurry and wasn't paying any attention! She wanted to cut around the car in front of her and get on the highway. Well to her surprise when she veered into on coming traffic, guess what there was a car there! Yea, our car.... Anyways we swerved and didn't get hit, but just scared us all a little. Our oldest started crying from it. Not a great time.
It's been a crazy day, but ending on a great note with some Duck Dynasty with my love.
